About Teddington Carpet Centre
A family business in the heart of Teddington for more than 50 years Teddington Carpet Centre has been a feature of Broad Street, in the centre of Teddington, for more than half a century.
It has been a family-run business ever since and, as you would expect, our faithful and friendly team boast decades of experience in the flooring trade between them.
Our existing customers are equally loyal. They appreciate the high level of service that they receive from a family-run business and we are now on first-name terms with many of them.
It was in 1962 that Leslie Wilks founded the Company along with two partners, Henry Wooding and Ronald Rayner. Les had been selling carpets, furniture and bedding for 15 years after he finished his service in the RAF in 1947.
Some of Les’s original suppliers relaxed their payment terms to help him while he was building up the business – and several of those manufacturers are still represented in the store today.
Les’s son Rob, who now runs the business, started at Teddington Carpet Centre as a Saturday boy in 1978. He believes passionately that the secret of our success has been to ensure excellent customer service as a top priority and to approach a job in the way we would want it done in his own home.
We will listen to your requirements and offer our experienced insight and advice. We will even visit your premises to make sure the flooring you are buying is exactly right for you.
Please come and see our extensive collection of floors that range from the fashionably modern to the timelessly traditional.
You can expect a warm welcome when you visit Teddington Carpet Centre.
We are a family business – and we will always try to make you feel welcome.
