Founded in 2002, V4 Wood Flooring is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of high quality and responsibly sourced hardwood floors, however their real roots in wood flooring actually go back some nine decades.
They have grown their operation from one man, one van and one sanding machine to taking the leap to establish their own hardwood flooring brand, V4 Wood Flooring. Initially, they concentrated on a few high quality hardwood ranges imported from Europe as they quickly established a small base of expert retailers, including us here at Teddington Carpet Centre, who understood how to sell and install their floors.
We are proud to stock their quality floor products, as V4 has become the country’s leading supplier to retail of quality and responsibly sourced hardwood flooring, now with a unique collection of 50 wood floors.
V4 Flooring Products
Engineered Wood Flooring: V4 specialise in precision-made engineered wood floors available in both parquet and plant floor planks. They are made from sustainably sourced timber; European oak and American walnut which is backed on fast grown birch and pine engineered bases. Their range of engineered flooring has all the strength, durability and beauty of traditional solid wood, but in a sustainable form that preserves precious hardwood. Modern engineered flooring offers ultimate stability that can be installed in just about any interior space.
Laminate Flooring: Their range of beautifully rendered laminate floors looks and feels just like natural hardwood. V4 Natureffect laminate wood floors are made from natural pine, compressed to form a dense and stable base on which perfect renditions of hardwood boards are imprinted and then sealed with grain textured ultra-durable coating. The result is a collection of floors that will bring the warmth and beauty of real wood into your home.
Bespoke Flooring: Discover V4’s hand-selected wood floor collection, all made from responsibly sourced timber in specialist mills to deliver the ultimate palette of engineered wood flooring finishes and profiles. Ranges include Alchemy with a unique colour palette inspired by metallic tones, Basilica where the planks are tumbled and distressed for a sense of age and character and the Vestige Reclaimed range which is collected from beams, posts and trusses from ruined agricultural buildings to be engineered into oak floors.
Environmental Considerations
As a leading brand of hardwood flooring in the UK, V4 are committed to lowering the impact that flooring has on the environment. V4 wood is only sourced from well managed and sustainable purpose farmed forests, meaning that only mature trees are selected for harvest. And for each one of the trees felled, several more fast growing saplings are planted for the next generation.
Because wood flooring can be kept clean effortlessly and because it is easily maintained – it will last a lifetime, meaning instead of being replaced, a worn floor can be eventually refinished and rejuvenated. Plus, V4 has introduced new simplified packaging, cutting down on printing resources and using recycled un-bleached card which in turn is easily recyclable.
